Guiding young people via advanced manufacturing methods
South Africa’s Johannesburg The 21st edition of Sasol TechnoX, South Africa’s flagship STEAMI (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths, and Innovation) career exhibition, will be held from August 14 through August 18, 2023. The Sasol Foundation hosts TechnoX each year to give students an immersive and practical learning experience while promoting the many fields of study and interesting employment options in science, math, and technology.
The goal of Sasol TechnoX, which has as its subject “FUTURE SHAPERS – DISCOVER YOUR PASSION, SHAPE YOUR FUTURE,” is to help young people understand that they have the power to transform the world via their invention and the seemingly endless possibilities of STEAM jobs. The occasion highlights the crucial need of enabling young people to actively participate in the development of the digital world and the development of green economies, becoming agents of positive change in their communities and beyond.
In order to reach a larger audience and ensure accessibility, Sasol TechnoX offers a hybrid approach. Participants can choose between physically attending the exhibition at Sasolburg or participating virtually. At the exhibition, they can interact with the more than 40 creative STEAMI exhibitors, see captivating talks and hands-on demos, and learn about the newest technology and career options. This open-minded strategy enables students, educators, and enthusiasts from all over South Africa to interact and learn from business leaders, providing a vibrant environment for cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the development of fruitful alliances.
