-Bangwato must dedicate weekend vote to Khama he says
Alliance for Proggressives – AP Vice Presirent Wynter Mmolotsi says Bangwato must punish the ruling party for “banishing” their Paramount Chief Ian Khama.
“The coming bye-elections must be a vote to stand with your exiled Chief,” Mmolotsi encouraged attendants of a Botswana Patriotic Ftont – BPF,candidate launch over the weekend.
Serowe West goes into a parliamentary bye election after its seat was declared vacant due to absence of its former legislator Tshekedi Khama who is in self-imposed exile in South Africa with his brother Ian.
Mmolotsi accused the ruling party of mistreating the former president.
He likened the ruling party to insurgents bent on destruction and mercenary.
“Defend Khama with your vote like Batawana,Bangwaketsi and Barolong tribes who stood with their Chiefs in the past,” he urged.
It would be a three horse race between BDP,BPF and Botswana Congress Party
